“standing still” spotlights the desolate lands of Joshua Tree and surrounding areas in relation to the artist’s own self isolation and abuse. Through her archives, we follow this formative time of reconnection with art and photography, allowing existentialism and reflection to be found in the cracks of crumbling walls. The selected prints, polaroids, and visual works share the raw solitude experienced, navigating a deserted display of art and self.
